Saturday Band Schedule.

The Jayhawks
8:30pm-10:30pm

Forging a rootsy sound that wasn't quite rock or country - "Hank Williams on speed" somebody once memorably called it - The Jayhawks quickly turned into one of the most important bands of the post-punk era. Over the course of two decades, several albums, countless memorable live shows and enough personal drama to fill a couple of Behind the Music episodes, this beloved band soared to heights few ever achieve while winning the hearts and minds of numerous critics, fans and peers in the process.   Visit their site

The Right Now

The past two years saw immense growth for The Right Now, including a sold-out release party at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall; tour dates throughout the Midwest, East, and South; festival appearances at SXSW, North Coast Festival, and Summerfest; and opening stints for Fitz & The Tantrums, George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Bettye Lavette, Otis Clay, Orgone, Kings Go Forth, Jamie Lidell, and Tortured Soul. USA Today and mp3.com featured the band as a favorite, and live TV appearances (WGN) put the Chicago act on the national stage.

Placements in a 2011 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and promos for Gilly Hicks and other national retailers also broadened the band’s appeal.

“It takes a man to admit that it’s over,” Berecz confidently croons on “Half As Much.” “But if you can’t, I can do it for sure.” While Stefanie Berecz may have gotten over the man in this song, audiences won’t be getting over her any time soon.

Hurricane Reggae Band

Cleve Hurricane Jean Jacques hales from the island of Dominica in the Caribbean.  Hurricane's musical career began at the tender age of fourteen, when at the time he performed as lead guitarist and vocalist for the Island's leading band. Hurricane continued to develop in strength as a songwriter, musicl arranger, and entertainer.  In 1986, he entered the arena of calypso and for the next fourteen years touched  the hearts and lives of people all over the world.

Michael Heaton Band

Michael Heaton’s songs emerge from classic American traditions – rock, country and pop.  But Heaton accomplishes what few songwriters and performers do; he makes the tried and true feel new again.  A selfdescribed “country guy that can play the Who,” Heaton bridges the energy and passion of the best rock n’ roll with plainspoken, emotionally affective lyrics that touch a chord in a lot of people.  Over the course of hundreds of shows and several albums, Heaton has proved his mettle – he’s an artist who has won himself an eager fan base, and with that, the freedom to make the music, he wants, his way.

Michael's latest release I Know What I Know has recently seen two songs licensed for the motion picture Coin

Tos s. Due for release in summer 2012.   He recorded  half of it with his A team stage band in Chicago, and the

second half  brought him together again with Pat Bergeson and his friends in Nashville. Pat Bergeson also the produced the album.

Through a charming charisma and unquestioned commitment to connection, Michael Heaton has been able to do something that many aspire to, but few accomplish – making a living career out of music.  “I’ve got this really nice thing going on – fans who support what I do.  If it gets bigger, great.  But I’ve already had so many great thrills; meeting so many of the the artists that have inspired me and being able to do things like attend the Grammys. I'm blessed.”  He’s done so by creating music that honors the power of great music – by hitting a lot of people right where they live.
